DFW Metro · Dallas County
Buying or selling in Dallas, Texas
Established urban neighborhoods, dense infill and highrise, inside the DFW core.
The market here
Dallas proper is a different purchase from the suburbs that surround it. Inventory runs from historic homes in established neighborhoods like Lakewood and the M Streets, through extensive townhome and condo infill, to highrise product in Uptown and along the corridors. Lot sizes are generally smaller and build ages older than anything on the metro edge.
Highway structure does most of the work in narrowing a search — I-30, I-35E and the LBJ 635 loop divide the city into practical commute zones. Buying inside the city usually means trading square footage for proximity, and whether that trade is right depends on where you actually need to be during the week.
